To Uitvlugt (Port Mourant)
"Floral and fruity on the nose (stone fruit, passion fruit), plus old barrel. Candied on the palate, cardboard, brine, but also somewhat watery."
"This Uitvlugt from The Whisky Jury doesn't really inspire me. On the nose, I perceive quite sweet aromas of cherry and similar fruits that remind me more of a Ten Cane. On the palate, the expected aromas, but unfortunately in far too thin a ratio. Alcohol is not noticeable. The finish is relatively short."
"Well... Reminds me more of gin than rum. It has something of juniper distillate, old, wet shoebox and this strange light acidity and minerality. Quite strange, also seems extremely watered down, I also suspect an ex-Scotch cask here, seems slightly peaty and salty in the finish. Too bad."
"Das Port Mourant-Profil ist schon erkennbar, aber leider ist er etwas dünn, aber dafür natürlich sehr geschmeidig. In Abgang leichte torfige Whisky Note."
