The Many Faces Of Rum (MACAU EXCLUSIVE)" is a limited-release Trinidadian rum from T.D.L distillery, selected by The Whisky Jury. Distilled in 2002 and aged for 21 years, this cask-strength rum boasts an ABV of 55.7%. Aromatic nuances of sour cherry, mint, black tea, and nutty woodiness mark the nose. On the palate, it delivers minty, peach, herbal, and woody flavors with a prominent tea note. Users praise its complex minty profile, well-integrated alcohol, and rounded balance with subtle nuances, yet some find it lacking strong originality. Limited to just 238 bottles, it’s cherished by connoisseurs for its mature, nuanced depth reminiscent of fine cognac.

Salon Du Rhum 2024 Great rum. Reminds me of The Roots 2009 but a longer finish.
Medicinal rum) Medicinal herbs, mint, molasses, bandages, walnuts, sherry. Lots more, but I'm at the tasting. The flavor is dense, supple, tart and fruity, with noble wood, closer to cognac in a good way. This rum is to my taste and I can safely recommend it. 91 solid!
Wahnsinnig tolles 2002 Vintage. Selten so eine intensive Sauerkirsch Note im Rum erlebt, gepaart mit dezenter frischer Krause-Minze, geriebenem gefrorenen Pfirsich und etwas Vanille, sowie Tannine wie von kräftigem Earl Grey Tee. Hammer!
TDL is immediately recognizable. First red fruits with mint on the nose. Tea. Alcohol not pungent even shortly after pouring. Then come hints of bicycle inner tube. Plus vanilla and spices (something like nutmeg, allspice and pepper) as well as wood. Then really nice and oily in the mouth. Sweetness at first. Then red fruits followed by spice (again nutmeg, allspice and pepper). Very slight bitterness at the end (dark chocolate, mint stems). And again and again mint. The 21 years are noticeable due to the rather light cask influence. Mostly in the finish. Great!
