Un profil tout en simplicité et en maîtrise pour HSE. On retrouve la typicité de la distillerie au nez, notamment le fût de chêne toasté, les épices (cannelle, vanille, poivre) et les fruits secs (pruneaux). La canne à sucre donne un côté sucré au profil. On retrouve ici un HSE sec mais gourmand et qui n’est pas tant marqué par les notes végétales des rhums agricoles. L’archétype de HSE se retrouve également en bouche, le bois domine les premiers instants à côté de la cannelle, de la vanille et du poivre. Les fruits secs (raisin) donne un peu de gourmandise tandis que la canne à sucre se veut plus agricole cette fois. Le profil est sec mais reste simple et facile d’approche. L’alcool est bien intégré pour le degré. La finale est de longueur moyenne et se veut dans la continuité de ce qui a été évoqué. Les épices et le bois dominent, les fruits secs viennent ensuite avec la canne, puis le côté sec et agricole vient envelopper le palais. Un rhum facile d’accès pour les novices, tant en termes de prix que de qualité, à consommer sans prise de tête.
