How does this rum taste?
The Flensburg Rum Company Sea Shepherd LROK is a bold Jamaican rum distilled in 2018 at the renowned Hampden distillery. Aged for 5 years, this rum is bottled at 67.5% ABV cask strength. The nose offers intense fruity and ester notes, redolent of pineapple and tropical nuances, with a subtle sherry influence. The palate is robust, dominated by ester and tropical fruit flavors, including hints of glue and intense character. While young, its vibrant profile and sherry finish provide a noteworthy tropical experience for enthusiasts.

Won a sample set of the 4 new Sea Shepherd from Kirsch. THANK YOU 🙏. Here is the 5 year continental matured LROK rum from an Oloroso cask... Nose: intense blend of esters and sherry. Sweet and sour passion fruit, pineapple and banana with yellow lemon and sulphurized apricot. Goes out the back towards pencil shavings. Ester and sherry go well together, even if I'm not so keen on sweet-sherry finishes. 8,2 Palate: nice and intense, a successful blend of esters with glue and tropical fruits like passion fruit and pineapple. Lemon and gooseberry are also present. The sherry cask clearly brings strong sweet and sulphurous aromas. Has a slightly bacony effect. Not bad at all for what it is (young and Oloroso). 8.0
A little sharp, finish well integrated.
Bottle Market Bremen Oktober 2024. Wow, was ein Jamaicaner. In der Nase sofort erkennbar dank des Ester und der Fruchtigkeit. Am Gaumen dann ebenfalls viel Ester und auch tropische Früchte. Ein echtes Brett.
