This rum is very oaky and many may not like it. Smoky as well so it's pretty close to a well matured whisky. The nose is fruity with some wood and brown sugar. In the back i find something like glue. The palate is nice and warm with a lot is smoky oak and tobacco, and I do mean a lot. There is a bit of funk there with the dry and oily vanilla sliding down. The finish is long and warm with a dry oaky touch. Lots of wood and smoke so not for most people I'd guess.
