Doorly's 12 Year Rum from Foursquare Distillery in Barbados is a non-aromatic and non-sweetened rum that is dry and woody. It has classic Foursquare Barbadian notes such as toffee, brown sugar, chocolate, baking spice, vanilla and oak. It has a long peppery finish with light toffee notes. Bringt die komplette Foursquare DNA mit, könnte aber auch ein paar Prozentpunkte mehr ABV vertragen. Für Drinks aber immer eine gute Wahl.

Terrific sipping rum. Full bodied, round, not too sweet. MUCH nicer than the XO, at a similar price point makes this a no brainer.

I was having a big expectations which were not fulfilled. Don't get me wrong this is great rum but hearing about how awesome it is all the time, I was expecting more. Now, onto the nose- vanilla, lot's of wood; oak to be precise. Palate- Oily, round sweetness of vanilla and oak barrel with slight hint of banana at the end and a bit of spiciness. Finish is medium long. Really nice rum if you have a chance to buy it around 30€. I bought mine for 28 for which I consider it an excelent rum for such price. I will need to revisit the review and the rating in the future. Revisiting: this time I sense fruitiness overall underlined with sour taste of green apple. Pulling it down from 74 to 70. Definitely over-rated for me. Highlight is the mid-long finish.

Le rhum Doorly's 12 ans vient de la distillerie Foursquare à la Barbade. Un rhum vieilli 12 ans dont 90% en fûts de bourbon, le reste dans du Madère. Non aromatisé et non édulcoré, il est sec et boisé. Il est plaisant et se laisse boire sans être exceptionnel.

It has a classic Foursquare Barbadian nose, with toffee and brown sugar combined with chocolate notes. Sipped it is reasonably balanced in terms of alcohol but not as integrated as the ECS series. Some baking spice, vanilla, and oak on the mouth with a long and peppery finish ending in a nice light toffee. I would be happy to use this as a cocktail or mixing rum but as a sipper there are others I prefer even at the very reasonable price point
