How does this rum taste?
A.H. Riise's Old St. Croix Explorer XO, exclusive to Germany and limited to 1812 bottles, is a rum with a distinct sweet tooth. Expect aromas of caramel, roasted nuts, sweet tropical fruit, and a gentle malt edge. Sipped neat, you'll encounter layers of caramel and chocolate over a wave of tropical fruit. For some, it's "more liqueur than rum," while others liken it to "the confectionery stand at the fairground." If you're drawn to dessert-like spirits, this bottle has its devotees.
If you are into the sweeter rums, this version can certainly be a hit
