A.H. Riise Old. St. Croix Explorer XO (German exclusive) 2024
Fans enjoy its dessert-like caramel, popcorn and chocolate sweetness, critics find it cloying and artificial. Consensus: a sugary, rum-based treat best for those who like very sweet spirits.
Those who prefer smooth, very sweet sippers or rum‑based liqueurs, want low 40% ABV, and enjoy caramel, chocolate and popcorn notes as an after‑dinner treat.

How does this rum taste?
Liquid dessert for sweet-tooth drinkers
If you enjoy A.H. Riise’s sweeter bottlings or rum liqueurs, this hits that same dessert-focused, caramel-popcorn profile—just know it’s far from a classic, dry rum.
Anyone avoiding added sugar or seeking a dry, traditional rum profile; drinkers sensitive to artificial-tasting aromas or looking to explore complex, unsweetened spirits.

If you are into the sweeter rums, this version can certainly be a hit
