How does this rum taste?
Most love its wild olive‑cucumber, medicinal and umami punch, some find it too vegetal and fermented. Consensus: a complex, characterful blanc and great value if you enjoy savory profiles.
If you enjoy funky Savanna Lontan or mezcal-style, smoky-vegetal spirits, this cranks that profile up with olive and umami depth, but will be too much if you prefer classic fruity-sweet rum.
Beginners, those sensitive to 57% ABV, or drinkers who dislike vegetal, fermented or medicinal flavors in their rum.

#4561 19.01.2024 Got a set of samples from a former colleague in Sweden and today I'll give them a go. My tastebuds are still hyper sensitive, which can be both good and bad. Pretty good Grand Arôme with nice fruits and light esters on the nose alongside faint glue notes. The palate is well rounded, spicy and has nice berry and tomato notes. The finish is medium to long and oily with light herbs and medicinal notes. The empty glass has light chocolate and strawberry notes as well as faint smoke.
New Year's resolution: open rums from the cabinet gradually taste and evaluate again. Here is one of my absolute favorite unaged. Beautiful medicinal, smoky
herbe Kräuter, starke medizinische Noten ( Jod), Gurke, Olive, aber auch fruchtige Noten (teils vergoren, teils künstlich). Sehr langer herber Abgang.
