"Clairin closer to Sajous in fact has more perfumed notes and is probably the most delicate of all the clairins I have owned.Not surprisingly, the Casimir aged gave excellent results.On the finish there is a slight peatiness mixed with medicinal after a while.Way to go Velier!"

Palate Fresh, warm, dried fruit, honey, light smoke, citrus. Finish Medium long, fruity, citrus, herbs, sugarcane."

"Back to the wonderful world of Clairin. The nose is delightful, real tropical fruit, strawberry and sugar with a backbone of floor polish - what’s not to like, a softer Mhoba in a sense. The mouth is less tamed and no surprise given the unaged profile and ABV. Smooth and encompassing mouth feel, with olive, marzipan and white pepper as well as a salty edge. It runs a fine line between too much kerosene and more tropical flavours. Finish is long and rewarding, sweet butterscotch with chilli and some more spice. It’s a complex and intense unaged rum but the best of the Velier Clairin’s to my tastes"
