Pour la première fois les deux versions de ce mark ont la même base aromatique. Du fermenté au nez avec de l’ananas et du végétal. La bouche est enfin belle avec enfin du bois bien intégré (mais toujours dominant). Un côté whisky/bourbon en fin de bouche. La finale est longue et élégante mais assez mince. Il semblerait que plus les esters sont hauts, plus une année sous bois se passe bien avec un bois bien intégré.
Das Mark HLCF besitzt einen mittleren Estergehalt, dafür aber mit die vielfältigste Esterpalette. Neben den Fruchtaromen gibt es deshalb auch buttrige Noten. Insgesamt ein gutes Ergebnis für eine junge Reifung im Fass. Auch hier dominiert von Furfuralen, Whisky-Lactone und Cresole, weshalb durchaus Röstiges/Rauch zu vernehmen ist.
Nummer Vier der Acht Marks Hampden Collection. Dieser Rum gefällt mir sehr gut. Auf der einen seite schön fruchtig mit Ananas und natürlich auch wieder kräftig Ester zu riechen und schmecken. Bisher der beste der Reihe
The nose is now much more pronounced in the direction of tropical fruit. Not fermented but definitely ripe. The taste is pleasantly round and smoky. The pineapple is dominant. A great rum. For me, it's currently on a par with the lrok.
