"A surprisingly funky nose with gentle esters that transport us straight to Jamaica, but without the spicy, heavy power of the Hampdens. Here, it's all about delicacy, with notes of fresh pineapple and tart green apple. It's all about the fruit, and it's very greedy. On the palate, it's still delicious, but without the liveliness of esters. This rum is ideal for discovering the special terroir of Jamaican rums, without offending the most sensitive palates. The alcohol is very well integrated. There's a profusion of exotic fruits: pineapple, papaya, passion fruit and a touch of mango. Mild spices like cinnamon and a little clove, which gives it a medicinal edge, soften the palate. The finish is medium-light, with a very light woodiness and a little fruitiness."
