R.L. Seale’s Foursquare Finest Barbados Rum
Most praise its value, classic Foursquare vanilla-wood-spice profile and easy sipping. Critics note limited depth, some pepper and occasional muted samples. Consensus: a reliable, characterful Bajan standard.
Rum drinkers building their palate who want a dry, honest Barbados profile with vanilla, cocoa, dried fruit and gentle spice at a fair price, for both sipping and cocktails.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

One of the best Bajan standard rums to a very competitive price in a spectacular bottle. The nose is subtle and round with aromas of fruits and vanilla. At the palate it’s delicious, fruity and spicy with flavors of tropical fruits, vanilla and cinnamon.
The sample might have been corrupted, lost clarity and volume and feels like almost no alcohol. Very concentrated fruits.
Great news as this is now 46 abv
The bottle might not be closed properly. In taste and smell there are not alcoholic tones.
