The Chairman's Reserve Master's Selection (Royal Mile Whiskies) is a limited release rum produced in Saint Lucia at the Saint Lucia Distillers distillery. It was distilled in 2006 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 13 years. It has an ABV of 56% and has aromas of raspberry, cinnamon, mandarin, raisin, toffee and dark chocolate. It has a salty taste with notes of plastic and rubber as well as dates, vanilla and burnt wood. With water added it becomes incredibly fresh with menthol/eucalyptus notes, spices on the tongue, fruity esters like glue and varnish plus pear candy flavors. Highly rated by reviewers as an excellent alternative to Jamaican rums.

Wow, this is a really super rum and definitely a rum well worth the money. Probably my favourite tasting of 2019. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

On the nose, a fruity fresh resinousness mixed with iodine and a touch of citrus peel.On the palate, a fresh fruitiness with citrus impact. Immediately, however, comes something pleasantly dirty, artificial, like slightly burnt plastic. I like that. Out the back again nice fruity sweet.Very nice, multilayered rum.

Wieder ein Chairman‘s von der etwas fruchtigeren und frischen Sorte. Gefällt. Alkohol könnte aber bisschen besser eingebunden sein.

on the nose first very inviting with raspberry, cinnamon, tangerine, raisin, toffee and dark chocolate..taste then rather not my case with a rather salty, reminiscent of plastic and rubber note, plus date, vanilla and rather bitter and dirty and after burnt wood acting. in the finish rather astringent and tannin-heavy in addition to plastic and the salt note that I otherwise like but here rather disturbing... pity.

Ein weiterer toller Rum aus der Vendome Still. Verglichen mit dem Evanius überwiegen die dunklen Noten (Teer, Gummi, Holz), Früchte und Süße zeigen sich vornehmlich im Abgang. Geiler Stoff!

Avec la bonne quantité d'eau, ce rum devient une merveille, l'amertume boisée devient d'une incroyable fraîcheur (mentholée/eucalyptus), les épices picotent la langue juste comme il faut, les esters sont également de la fête (colle, vernis) et le fruité est exceptionnel, un bonbon arlequin à la poire, au mangoustan, aux fruits rouges et un zeste de citron vert. Finale interminable sur le coing et les fruits rouges saupoudrés d'épices (muscade, cardamome) et de thés noirs et il y a tout du long une trace de cire/paraffine/beurre enchanteresse. Une superbe alternative aux jamaïcains!

A rum that needs a little swirl in the glass to really open up in the nose and release it’s volatiles. It explodes in the mouth; covers your taste buds in a caramelized sweetness followed by a middel of fruity and berry notes and rounded of by woody barrel notes and some rubber - the good stuff.
