Had a very nice Reimonenq tasting today and it was nice to have it presented by an expert in the brand.
Klar, Agricole in der Nase. Frische Würzigkeit, sofort angenehm holzig, ein Hauch Honig, schwarzer Tee. Etwas Fruchtiges von getrockneter Pflaume scheint nach. Am Gaumen rollt zunächst ein bitterer, fast salziger Holzton herbei zu dem sich aber schnell eine süßlicher Geschmack von Cola und wieder Schwarztee gesellt. Im Abgang bleibt länger etwas bitter, erdiges, Heu. Ganz hinten fast etwas Spargel. Der hier hat nur 40%, dafür ist er aber erstaunlich aromatisch und würzig. Überraschend gut.
Le Reimonencq Millesime 2009 Cuvée Fernand’Or. Distillerie pas la plus connue de Guadeloupe, elle a pour spécificité d’élaborer ces rhums uniquement à base de jus de canne fermenté ! Robe acajou, on retrouve l’intensité olfactive de Reimonencq. Boisé, épicé avec des touches de fraises. Avec ce nez démentiel, on veut y plonger pour y goûter. En bouche c’est réglisse et piquant-métallique sur la langue. C’est sympa mais j’avoue que le nez est plus sympa que la bouche.
