How does this rum taste?
The Cane Island Barbados Rum, produced at the esteemed Foursquare distillery, is an 8-year-old spirit distilled from molasses using pot and column stills. With its distinct aroma of nail polish, vanilla, and apricot, this rum offers a complex sensory experience. The taste presents an intriguing mix of varnish, vanilla, and woody notes, with a profile described by users as bittersweet and slightly herbal. While some reviews highlight its commendable value for price and its use as a mixing ingredient, others find its bitter and unbalanced taste less appealing. Bottled at 43% ABV, this rum is suggested for those exploring mid-range molasses-based rums with interesting character.

14.04.2018 A nice get-together with good friends and own bottles. Notes. Nose: fresh, light, dried fruit, pineapple, Polish, wood, light roasted. Palate: light/thin, fruity, pineapple, spice, wood, medium dry. Finish: short to medium, thin, dried fruit, medium dry, light roasted wood.
Unfortunately very disappointing... Quite a nice nose but the taste is rather bitter, herbal and woody... I absolutely can't recommend it and it's rather a bad example for Barbados rum in my opinion.
Good value for money.
