"Very pleasantly surprised! I've actually never had an Angostura in a glass before, so it was the best idea to taste this rum blind first. When I smelled it, my first association was that it must be a kind of TiPunch, with a very present, inviting citrus note. On the palate, it was a pleasantly spicy rum, not necessarily fruity. It wasn't until I could taste a lot of mint towards the end that I was relatively certain that it must be a TDL, one of the later ones (2008-2010). All right, very close - or maybe not. 😉 But that doesn't detract from my assessment at all: what a great rum with only 44.7%! 😋"
"#4777 11.07. 2024 Relaxing evening with some nice liquids 😊 Nose Wood, complex, spice, apple, roasted, faint chocolate. Palate Wood, light roasted, medium spicy, complex, spices, light apple, light dried fruit. Finish Medium to long, medium spicy, complex, wood, light roasted, light dried fruit. The empty glas has vegetal and light medicinal notes as well as a light cherry note. Rather complex rum despite the relative low ABV."
"Strong TDL notes...mint, mint stems, caramel, vanilla, some red fruit. Quite full for "only" 44.7% ABV. Great drinking strength. A little too bitter on the finish for me. Reminds me of chewing on mint stalks. Quite a long finish though. Great bottling and unexpectedly tasty."
"Erstaunlich gut und intensiv für die wenigen Prozente, typische TDL-Minznoten. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!"
