#4887 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, earthy, sweet, fruity, sugarcane, light sulphur, light olive. Palate Round, fresh, light earthy, light sugarcane, light salt, light olive, spice, lightly sweet, light citrus. Finish Medium long, round, spice, light earthy, light citrus, light salt, faint banana. Pretty good considering the price tag. But I'd classify this one as a mixer.
7,6:On the nose, we certainly get a nice surprise with juicy sugar cane right away, moisty, soft, inviting, then mushrooms and olives join the party with litchi, citrus notes and corn with airing. When we think, that's it, we find salty see prawns visiting with minty notes, all well rounded.Well, quite complex start for blanc unaged Rhum!👍 7,7:On the palate, seafood says hello, complementing pure juicy sugar cane with floral-geranium note, nicely spicy with volcanique/smoky notes and at last fine white sugar powder with a chesnut note at the end.All is well rounded and balanced. 7:The finish is medium, lingering on sugar cane, which is waning, becoming more bitter and little dry. There are not many blanc rhums, that could be just for sipping...This one could be a nice exception...Of course nice for mixing also... Highly recommended from my point of view/tasting. 👌
Notes prises lors du Rhum Fest 2024, Notes rapides et palais un peu lourd, désolé :) Pas mal du tout !
