Tasted this AOC Agricole from the house of Depaz in Martinique at the Sweden (Stockholm) Rumfest 2024. It has been aged for 13 years in French oak barrels before bottled at 45% in 690 bottles. The nose is rather powerful and fruity with aromas of figs, peach and apricot together with hints of licorice, chocolate and honey. In mouth and at the palate it’s fruity and tangy. It’s very smooth, almost silky with a certain warmth. The finish is rather long.
