By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

#4892 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Faint wood, faint smoke, light earthy, sweet, light floral, light pear, faint apple, light herbs. Palate Light oily, faint wood, light roasted, light herbal, fruits, light apple, light citrus, sweet, medium dry. Finish Medium long, light wood, fruits, light pear, medium dry, light vegetal, spice. I really liked this one though I would have loved a longer life in the cask and higher ABV.
7,7:On the nose, this is typical agricole of Mauritius with the dominance of fresh vegetal notes as grass, olive, there is a pinch of a resin, nice flowery scent and smoky with brine. Sugar cane is juicy and mineral with fruity notes of ripe banana, peaches or apricots, perhaps candied fruits, honey and pastries. There is wood and a pinch of spiciness. Very smooth and gentle. 7,7:On the palate, as agricole, is mineral, briny, sugar cane is fresh, flowery, covered with honeyed tropical fruits as ripe banana, peaches or apricots, all candied, as on the nose. We get spiciness from pepper, ginger, is dry and vegetal with grass, the wood is light, young. 7,5:The finish is quite long, light, buttery with a pinch of vanilla and fresh, dry, as the sugar cane is juicy and mineral with fruity touch and a bit woody, vegetal. Edit:18.5.25, the grade stays
Notes prises lors du Rhum Fest 2024,
Notes rapides et palais un peu lourd, désolé :)
Pas ultra convaincu, mais c'était la fin du salon...
