“Auf dem 13. GRF probiert. Hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Sehr dunkel und komplex. Aber nicht bitter obwohl viel Fasseinfluss erkennbar war. Im direkten Vergleich den 2014 Small Cask deutlich besser da komplexer und vielschichtiger. Sehr konzentriert. Sehr dunkler Agricole. Lecker.”

“Un rhum au profil assez sombre, comme témoigne sa couleur, et renfermé. Au nez on a un boisé bien présent, sombre qui enveloppe le tout. Cela m'a fait penser à une très vieille armoire en bois massif. Il y a des épices, du café, une pointe de caramel gourmand, du chocolat noir et des fruits à coque. Un côté pomme très léger. La bouche est dominée par ce bois épicé, un peu humide, avec une gourmandise discrète qui se termine en amertume. On a encore ce côté sombre intense qui englobe tout. Cela manque de complexité tout de même. Un bon rhum, qui a du mal à s'ouvrir ou alors qui donne l'impression qu'il pourrait en dire plus. Cela reste un profil interessant mais qui n'est pas marquant non plus. L'autre forêt se distingue par ce côté plus ouvert, gourmand et beaucoup moins sombre, peut être plus classique d'un bon rhum vieux je pense. A voir si l'on péfère des choses différentes moins expressives mais intéressantes ou des jus très bon un peux plus classiques?”

“Beautifully delicate HSE, tropical fruit, coffee, dry notes in the aroma. On the palate, red fruit, mocachino, a little acidity and I can still smell the red dessert wine. The finish is creamy, the alcohol recedes gently and the wine notes remain. Oh, and the colour? Dark as hell!”
