How does this rum taste?
Planteray Belize One-Time opens with a nose rich in cacao, roasted almond, and vanilla, quickly joined by candied and tropical fruit—think banana split and pineapple. The palate is all about those "würzig Früchte" and caramel, leaning into creamy chocolate and coconut, with a dash of spice and gentle oak on the finish. It's versatile, easy to sip, and, as Master P puts it, "sehr süffig"—a sentiment echoed by others calling it "leckerer easy sipper" (@Johannes) and spot-on for banana-split lovers. Just be ready for the dosage—several note it pushes towards sweetness.

A delicious rum from Belize. The nose is particularly dense with notes of pastries, burnt sugar, dark chocolate and vanilla, but is also overtaken by banana, pineapple and cherry behind a woody, spicy section. An uncomplicated but very drinkable profile. The addition of sugar makes itself felt with this very caramelized and syrupy side that strikes immediately on the palate. We're on a bourbon candy, seasoned with sweet spices, well candied and embellished with sweet, chocolatey notes that stick to the teeth. The banana makes a brief appearance, hinting at a banana split of sorts. The alcohol is faint, with the diabetic overdose described above. The finish, a little dull, stays in the mouth only thanks to its viscous, gourmand side that clogs the palate. A touch of chocolate, coffee, sweet, toasted and spicy notes and it's done. A rather basic profile, a little nauseating and, on top of that, rather expensive for the quality provided.
Beautiful new one-time edition from planteray. This Belize reminds me strongly of a delicious banana split sundae. Dark chocolate, candied banana and pineapple with whipped cream. Slight deductions because, in my opinion, an unnecessary dosage of 8g has been used here again, which makes the whole thing just too sweet for my taste.
Delicious easy sipper! Milk chocolate, a little coconut, yellow fruit, not particularly complex, but very pleasant.
Very accessible Belize rum thanks to the light dosage. Reminiscent of a Banena split.
