This is a really good rum and also one for beginners because the proof is lower than normal. Easy to drink and enjoy with friends that may not like the more biting rums. The nose is sweet with the barrel to it and then some caramel. The palate is heavily influenced by the molasses and it almost ruins the taste for me. Fruity and the barrel is clearly there. The finish is sweet and medium long with a touch of fruits and oak.
