How does this rum taste?
- Elegant and refined profile
- Balanced fruity and spicy notes
- Well-integrated alcohol
Silvano's Collection PM is a distinguished rum from the Port Mourant distillery, Guyana, aged for 16 years and bottled by Masam. Distilled in 2003 from molasses using a pot still, this rum offers a refined profile. Its aroma combines pastries, spice, and a peppery note with hints of apple and pear. The taste is prominently woody, complemented by spice, a pleasing oiliness, and a fruity undertone, all contributing to a heavy and satisfying mouthfeel. Users praise its elegance, well-integrated alcohol, and unique take on the traditional Demerara style. It's less dominated by woodiness, highlighting a harmonious balance between fruitiness and spice, making it a delightful choice for rum aficionados.

"02.04.2020 Had a nice tasting with my friends at a very nice hotel. Notes. Nice light colour. Nose: wood, fruity, anise, citrus, light licorice. Palate: wood, light smoke, anise, dried fruit, licorice. Finish: long and warm, wood, raisin, anise, licorice."
"Un bon PM, assez gourmand."
"I really like this profile."
"No detours, and we might as well say it straight out: this is a far cry from the typical PM with its humid, woody DNA. These are more delicate, charming rums. The 2 bottlings are very comparable: Gourmet nose of exotic fruits, with hints of vanilla and pepper. The smoky-toasty-woody notes of the PMs are present, but less omnipresent than usual. Fat on the palate! Peppery, slightly iodized-smoky notes. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. Molasses lingers and rounds out the whole. Personally, I prefer the 1st bottling, which is fruitier."
