Un rhum vénézuélien avec un fût couvert miel, ce qui est plutôt original. Le nez ne se trompe pas, on ressent les effluves du fût comme si nous étions Winnie l’Ourson à la recherche de son pot de miel. C’est doux, légèrement épicé (vanillé), toasté et sur un léger fruité (fruits secs). Rien de fou, mais facile et accrocheur. L’attaque en bouche montre un miel un peu plus floral, un profil un peu plus frais mais toujours dominé par la douceur apparente du profil hispanique. Le caramel, le sucre brun, les notes pimentées et de fruits secs et à coque (noix) forment un profil léger, gourmand et facile d’approche. L’intégration de l’alcool est correcte, même si le degré est relativement bas. La finale est dans la continuité de ce que propose le rhum en bouche. C’est un peu plus sombre, un peu plus lourd sur le sucre, mais sans extravagance. Si le vieillissement n’est pas inintéressant, cela reste avant tout un rhum qui permet à la distillerie bordelaise nouvellement créée d’avoir une production à vendre avant de se mettre en route.
