How does this rum taste?
Guadeloupe #16" is a distinctive rum from the Bonne Mère distillery, bottled by Transcontinental Rum Line. Distilled in 2013 from sugar cane juice using a column still, this rum offers a complex aroma profile featuring banana, prunes, and mirabelle plum. On the palate, hints of vanilla, cinnamon, and yellow fruits emerge, complemented by subtle young wood notes. It provides an elegant, creamy texture reminiscent of an aged gin but is occasionally critiqued for its seeming overdilution. Despite a limited release of 6384 bottles, this 4-year-aged rum offers a delightful balance of fruity and smoky wood aromas, making it an appealing choice for enthusiasts seeking a unique Guadeloupe experience with a moderate ABV of 43%.

A very surprising Guadeloupean, with a profile that stands out from the usual pure Guadeloupean juices. A little fruity candy with cinnamon. With a very creamy Werther's Original texture. Nice. Easy. Pleasant.
