Tasted this rum out in my summer house in the Stockholm archipelago. This rum spent two year in oak barrels. It tastes quite much like their 1yo release, named the same, but with a deeper taste and more woody. The nose is soft, sweet, spicy, woody, vegetal and fruity with aromas of vanilla, bagasse, bark, pepper, pears, apple, prune and strawberry. At the palate it’s soft, round, mellow, woody, sweet, spicy, fruity and a little acidic with flavors of citrus, artichoke and chestnut. The finish is medium long, sweet, fruity and a little peppery with flavors of strawberry and cherries.
