Another big surprise considering the price of the bottle. The Foursquare flavours are there and the rum is very well balanced with fruit, wood and spice trailed by some caramel.
Nase: Herrliche Intensität von Vanille und Gewürzen. Erinnert an Glühwein. Zusätzlich Karamell und leicht alkoholisch. Gaumen: Recht alkoholischer Auftakt, mit schier unendlicher Vollmundigkeit und Wärme. Es dauert bis die Aromen von Vanille und Holz durchdringen können. Leicht pfeffrige Noten kommen zum Vorschein und eine dominierende Würze, allerdings ohne bitter zu werden. Abgang:Langer, warmer Abgang mit Holz und ordentlich Würze, die erst nach geraumer Zeit leicht bittere Züge annimmt. Fazit:Top Rum, der für seine 9J. eine ordentliche Vielfalt an Aromen in angenehmener Intensität hat
Belle robe acajou foncée et limpide, nez extraordinaire, gourmand, rond, pâtissier, amande et légèrement fumé. Bouche forte et alcoolique, avec des traces de vernis, un emportement certain mais qui laisse place à des arômes de vieux rhums antillais pour finir sur une touche alcoolique également et très boisée
