“#4674 22.03.2024 Tasting arranged by Romdeluxe and presented by Parminder S. Bhatia one of the owners of 1423. Nose Light roasted wood, dried fruit, citrus, light caramel, faint glue, light floral. Palate Fresh, light roasted wood, fruity, citrus, orange, light nutts, naturally sweet, spices. Finish Medium long, wood, medium dry, light nutts, faint caramel, light orange.”

“This is with no doubt a well made rum, it's just nothing too complex. If you're looking for an easy sipper with slightly higher ABV (54%), then this might be a good choice for you. Yeah, it tastes good, yeah, it has nice intensity of flavours, yeah, the Oloroso does its job. But for me to rate it higher, it would have to be a little more complex.”

“Das bourbon Fass kommt hier sowohl an der Nase als auch Geschmacklich extrem durch. Das oloroso Fass ist eher im Hintergrund und ergänzt den Rum um nussige Noten mit Trockenfrüchten. Schöner Rum auch wenn ich blind eher auf Fassstärke Bourbon und nicht auf Australier getippt hätte! Vom Australischen rum bleibt aber leider nichts übrig, daher leichte Abzüge.”
