Blind tasting: I smell raisins, dark chocolate, leather, freshly cut grass and sugar cane - very interesting, but it's not yet clear whether this is an Agricole or not. But it could be, as more and more floral aromas emerge with time. The palate is very tart, spicy with a peppery heat and probably 44-46%. The finish is medium-long, spicy and dry. Puhhhh, Eric is really making it extremely difficult for me! I'm wavering between an old Agricole and a '98 Bellevue from Damoiseau. When looking through older notes, I found parallels to the Berrys Guadeloupe 15yo with 46% - unfortunately I don't have any more of this rum to make a cross comparison. Even if it's not a '98 Bellevue but a real Agricole, Damoiseau could still fit quite well. The rum didn't knock me off my feet, but it's still a good rum with decent quality. 82 points
