"I like it, but I'm not entirely convinced. You can clearly taste the influence of Paxarette. Behind it is a typical Monymusk, dry, somewhat bitter, astringent."

"A young Clarendon that's full-bodied, robust and very much on the ball. The nose is powerful, imbued with both Jamaican funk (esters, nail polish, glue, tropical fruit) and cask (a blend of wine and sherry). Lively spices and aromatic herbs energize the profile, which is fairly young, spirited and concentrated, but marked by aging all the same. The attack on the palate is sharp and concentrated. The tannins are very present, suffocating the palate with their dryness. The parajete has an effect, with an alcoholic side to the raisin. There's a marked woodiness, tropical fruit, glue, esters and pepper. There's a heavy, dry and powerful side to this rum that shows its strong character. The alcohol is fairly well integrated, even if you can feel it with the barrel. The finish is long, full-bodied and similarly constructed. Medicinal and fruity notes (exotic, citrus and dried fruit) follow with the cask, alcohol, spices (chili) but also with a slightly roasted side and very light caramel. A rather exotic Clarendon, but one that could quickly become stuffy over time, and whose profile could be absorbed by the cask at some point in my opinion. It's a nice experience, but shouldn't be pushed too far."

"#4677 22.03.2024 Tasting arranged by Romdeluxe and presented by Parminder S. Bhatia one of the owners of 1423. Nose Intense, light wood, ester, light glue, faint herbs, fruity, pineapple. Palate Medium dry, light wood, faint roasted, spicy, fruity, citrus, pineapple, light glue, ester. Finish Long, medium dry, fruity, citrus, faint caramel, light glue, light wood. Pretty OK Wedderburn though it is pretty young. Was fun to try."

"Quite good, young Clarendon with interestingly present estery notes on the nose considering it's MMW marque. The Pajarete cask adds a nice sweetness to it, would be interesting to see sugar content. I'm giving it a solid 8.2 points."
