To Santiago de Cuba
"Overall an OK rum from the SdC distillery, part of the Cuba Ron S.A. is aged for 12 years in old oak barrels and bottled without additives. It’s a little above average, but doesn’t really match their 11 year release. The nose is woody and fruity with lots of aroma of vanilla. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s well balanced, woody, roasted, fruity, nutty with some spiciness and sweetness and flavors of plum, coffee and vanilla."
"Not really my cup of tea. Very sweet and fruity with some wood. Very good in mixers though and I also used it for baking as well (Chocolate Rum Raisin Cake)."
"A surprisingly different Cuban rum."
"A completely normal average rum that goes down the throat well. Can be enjoyed neat or mixed for cocktails. Nothing special but also not a rum I wouldn't advise against."
