S.B.S Antigua Rum, distilled in 2015 at The Antigua Distillery and bottled by 1423 World Class Spirits, offers a unique Caribbean experience. This single cask rum at cask strength from the Danish Independent bottler S.B.S is made by the Antigua Distillery Ltd (ADL). It’s distilled in their column still in 2015, aged for 9-years in an ex-bourbon American oak barrel before bottled in January 2024 in only 271 bottles. The nose is woody, sweet and fruity with scents of vanilla, citrus and honey. At the palate it’s woody, sweet, fruity and spicy with flavors of bourbon, vanilla, citrus and chocolate. The finish is long, woody, spicy and dry with a flavor of caramel.
Unfortunately, this rum is not my cup of tea. It's somehow too dry and fizzy for me. Boring.
Oh man, what's going on here, I've almost forgotten what this rum tastes like. Here we have mostly vanilla and sweet stuff on the palate, this rum is not for experts, for beginners just so-so...
Brings a relatively high level of sweetness and vanilla notes. Otherwise a typical bourbon note. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced at all, even if the rum is basically ok. Overall, not my cup of tea and simply boring
