How does this rum taste?
RumX members love this Fiji’s classic funk: bright esters and glue balanced by tropical fruit and gentle spice, with alcohol impressively well integrated for 57.5%. Notes of banana, pineapple, caramel/vanilla and roasted wood unfold into a dry, lightly salty-olive finish. Many say it benefits from a little air. With 58 community reviews and strong buyer confidence, it’s a popular, limited cask-strength pick.

8,8:On the nose... 8,8:On the palate 8,6:The finish is..
I haven't had many Fiji in my glass yet, but here the nose picks me up straight away with a still slightly green banana and esters. Very round and beautiful. On the palate there's another baked, slightly green banana, followed by esters, a little glue and some plastic. Reminds me a little of Papalin 7, which I also liked. The finish is banana-like and of medium length. For me, a really tasty drop, I even like it a tick better than the New Yarmouth 2009 from the same release.
