“In meinen Augen ein großer Rum. Ich liebe die Velier Isautiers und dieser hier geht genau in die gleiche Richtung. Kaum grasige Agricole Noten, eher ein Hybrid aus Melasse und Zuckerrohrsaft. Das Cognac Fass kommt positiv hervor und sorgt für die Süffigkeit. Für mich eine der Top Abfüllungen von Swell.”

“A very successful bottling from Isautier that knows how to please! A beautiful, pleasant sweet and sour fruit aroma accompanies you from the nose to the finish. Spicy and slightly bitter aromas are added on the palate. The alcohol is not perfect, but just about well integrated. A harmonious whole.”

“Isautier montre encore une fois son émergence parmi les grands noms avec cette cuvée, particulièrement bien sélectionnée. On a un nez gourmand, pâtissier et caramélisé (toffee), accompagné de fruits secs (dates) et exotiques (noix de coco), beaucoup d’épices et un boisé qui se fond avec l’influence du cognac. C’est bien construit, élégant et très plaisant. L’attaque en bouche confirme les impressions du nez. Le fût de cognac a fait son effet, apportant maintes épices qui se bousculent au palais et apportent un côté sec. La douceur vient sur les notes pâtissières, le miel et les fruits, notamment la noix et le coco. L’ensemble est très homogène et bien maîtrisé, il y a du caractère et de la finesse. L’alcool est très bien intégré. La finale est longue, intensément sèche, avec un long boisé tannique et amer ainsi qu’un chêne qui part sur les épices. On discerne également les abricots secs et quelques herbes aromatiques. Isautier réalise une belle opération avec une cuvée qui en a pour son argent, tout en opérant sa montée en gamme et sa reconnaissance auprès du public, chapeau.”
