With this bottle, the screw cap was a shock to me. I would not have expected that at this price point. But back to the rum. Vanilla and leather on the nose, and a nice young minty trinidad on the palate, a bit woody, with well-integrated alcohol and a medium-long finish that warms up nicely.
I'll admit I'm skeptical up front. In my experience, I like Jamaica or Agricole blends. I can't remember anything else that has caught my eye. The aroma is kind of elusive to me, kind of a catbird between a matte and a "Foursquare" TDL. Same with the taste. It lacks some harmony for me. It's not a failure, but unfortunately this doesn't appeal to me much.
Beautifully fragrant, slightly minty in taste and in smell kuze. Very good
