- Rich woody and vanilla notes
- Complex profile
- Suitable for aged agricole lovers
The Saint James 2001 rum, distilled in Martinique, presents a refined profile with a balance between its 10-year barrel aging and the natural flavors of sugarcane juice. Users note the dominant aromas of vanilla and wood, with hints of tropical fruit and leather. On the palate, it offers a woody and vanilla depth, complemented by sugarcane, cinnamon, and a dry finish. While praised for its complexity and refined characteristics, some find the wood influence slightly overwhelming.

"A pretty OK Saint James where the price matches what you get. Fresh and fruity with nice spices and roasted wood. I like the caramel note in the profile and the empty glass has some chocolate and cinnamon."
