This rum, noted for its potent tropical fruit aroma and classic Jamaican funk, is distilled from molasses using a pot still and aged for 4 years. Bottled at cask strength (62.8% ABV), it offers an ester-rich, spicy flavor profile. Erstaunlich guter Blend! High Ester, etwas jung, etwas flach, nicht sehr komplex, aber richtig gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
HDGL … so richtig kann ich mit ihm nichts anfangen… er trifft nicht so ganz meinen Geschmack, aber als Mixer könnte ich ihn mir sehr gut vorstellen. Die Nase ist noch recht gefällig, aber am Gaumen ist er doch recht anstrengend… ich habe zudem eine Fehlnote (chemisch), die ich nicht ganz fassen kann. Irgenwie ist das nix
Überraschend gut für so ein junges Teil! Alkohol top eingebunden.
Durchaus interessante Messeabfüllung dieser Jamaica Blend von FRC. Bringt in der Nase ordentlich Funk mit viel Ester und tropischen Früchten. Am Gaumen kommt das Fass stärker durch und der Rum hat etwas zu kämpfen, bleibt aber dann doch relativ präsent. Für den Kurs sicher ein empfehlenswertes Mitbringsel von der Pueblo del Ron gewesen.
