“Skeldon always arouses a certain expectation in me... I still don't understand why. Nose very spicy, chocolatey with dark fruits, leather and sweetness. On the palate it is very accessible, oily and sweet. Then immediately a peppery and very spicy taste with chocolate, allspice, slightly menthol and a harmonious barrel influence comes through. At first it reminded me of an old 1983 Panama rum. The finish is then relatively short and unspectacular. Alcohol barely perceptible on the nose and palate. All in all, good/tasty but entertaining.”
