Zéro Nine Spirits Hampden Hampden (Alter Ego) <>H 2014
Highly praised as a solid, fruity <>H Hampden with classic esters and briny funk. Seen as slightly flatter and less complex than other 2014s, but still clearly good and enjoyable.
Fans of high-ester Jamaican funk who enjoy cask strength Hampden and want a slightly softer, fruit-driven <>H that still brings brine, glue and tropical overripe fruit notes.

How does Zéro Nine Spirits Hampden Hampden (Alter Ego) <>H 2014 taste?
Solid but softer Hampden funk
If you already like Hampden <>H and want a more relaxed, fruit-led take at full proof, this is a good pick—just know it’s tamer than the most hyped 2014 releases.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV or drinkers expecting the most explosive, complex 2014 <>H – many find it comparatively flat and a bit unstructured next to other bottlings.

The nose is magnificent: olive, exotic fruit, solvents, brine, it's all there. On the palate, it's a good hampden, rather round, a little spirited, but gentle. The finish is moderately long. In short, I like it. Good value for money.
Glue, nail polish remover, esters and solvents dominate the nose. In direct comparison with the WDC, it seems younger, more restless and lacks a little power on the palate. For me, not a top representative of the <>h from 2013/2014.
