Degusté au Spirits Days à Tournai, notes rapides : Cuir, épices, boisé. Bref : je n'ai pas pris de notes ici, fin de salon,
I had the opportunity to taste several different casks from this event and this is one of the better ones. It's almost slightly Guyanese in aroma. Wood, leather, fruit, mint and alcohol... The palate is again woody, with leather, intense mint and fruit enters, albeit more in a dried way, and later a bitter sour lemon peel opens up.
Same rum but different barrel. In aroma I noticed more alcholic scent than I would like. There is a hint of sweet and salty notes (salted caramel in my opinion), wood/oak, leather and quite strong lemon scent. Taste is very impressive. It is combination of fresh (menthol mostly) and fruity (lemon) notes. I also noticed cinnamon and hint of oak. Finish was warm and again with hint of lemon. I liked this one much better than that filling for Warehouse#1. It is much better option for rum enthusiasist and likewise for the beginners.
