“Am Anfang recht flache Nase, die sich dann aber etwas entwickelt. Zitrone, Mirabellen, leichte Würze und Menthol. Im Geschmack dann zum Glück intensiver mit den gleichen Aromen, aber einer intensiveren Mirabellennote und einer leichten Säure. Störend fand ich vorallem den spürbaren Alkohol in der Nase.”

“Das ist mein erster Rum aus Grenada und mir ist gleich aufgefallen, dass die RA Abfüllung aus 2019 (3 Jahre älter und 2 Jahre kürzer gelagert) noch immer für etwas mehr als den halben Preis der aktuellen Abfüllung verfügbar ist! Nase: da hab ich gleich ein Lächeln im Gesicht - die erste Assoziation ist süßer Hustensaft. Der erste Eindruck verschwindet mit der Zeit und dann kommen Kräuter und Minze, später noch Johannesbeere und Mirabellen und etwas süßea wie Honig, sehr spannend! Leider sticht der Alkohol etwas in der Nase. Am Gaumen habe ich wieder zuerst einen angenehmen medizinischen Eindruck (fast wie Zirbe) der auch erbleibt und herrlich umrahmt wird von Süße, Frucht, Kräutern und Würze. Im mittelangen Nachklang verblassen die Aromen gleichmäßig und langsam. Sehr schöne Erfahrung mit diesem Rum aus Grenada. Jetzt bin ich neugierig und möchte auch die alte Abfüllung probieren.”
