Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 43 Deadset Blend
A fruity, honey-vanilla nose leads to a spicy, slightly woody, and mildly salty taste. Not the most layered blend, but well executed and effortlessly enjoyable; worth a look if you want an easy sipper with subtle quirks.
Easy sipper with honeyed fruit and gentle floral spice.

How does this rum taste?
- Easy sipper, bei dem das Nachnippen Spaß
- schöne intensive Fruchtigkeit von verschiedensten Beeren
- komplexer, dafür sehr guter Daily Sipper
Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 43 Deadset Blend brings together a mix of honey, floral notes, bright fruit, and a gentle spice that finds plenty of mention among RumX tasters. Words like “easy sipper” (Schnubbii) and “harmonisch” (@zabo) come up repeatedly, with many noting a honeyed aroma layered over stachelbeer and tropical fruit. On the palate, spices and a saline, sometimes nutty touch round things out, while reviewers split over the finish—some call it “kurz, aber das Nachnippen Spaß” (@Dr.Django), others find a “bitter, adstringierend” edge (@Banana Joe). The blend’s complexity is called out, but so is its approachability, making it a bottle that walks a line between interest and easy drinking.

"Oh, I can't even taste a country, let alone a distillery, it's not sophisticated, but simply fantastically balanced and sips away, that's how it should be!"
"A very exciting blend, which in my opinion is a success. Delicious easy sipper, in which the Australian part (if you know it, in the blind tasting I was absolutely clueless and had guessed Guyana=D) comes through clearly. The honey note and the bright fruits stand out and are pleasing, a little smoke also comes through briefly, which harmonizes very well with the honey. Unfortunately, the finish is quite short, but the aftertaste is all the more fun. I highly recommend playing with the amount of rum on the palate. Third tasting: -2 pts."
"The nose greets me with aromas that I would assign to Guyana and Jamaica. On the palate, first Jamaica and lots of wood, then Guyana too. The alcohol is more present here than I had expected with the ABV. The finish is wonderfully chocolaty (dark chocolate 80%+) Conclusion: very solid blend in the upper entry-level range at a fair price, very good!"
