"Oh, I can't even taste a country, let alone a distillery, it's not sophisticated, but simply fantastically balanced and sips away, that's how it should be!"

"Die Nase begrüßt mich mit Aromen, die ich Guyana und Jamaica zuordnen würde. Am Gaumen zuerst Jamaica und viel Holz, dann auch Guyana. Der Alkohol ist hier präsenter als ich bei dem ABV erwartet hatte. Der Nachklang ist wunderbar schokoladig (dunkle Schokolade 80%+) Fazit: sehr solider Blend im gehobenen Einsteigerbereich zum fairen Preis, sehr gut!"

"I really like the nose of this blend. A beautiful intense fruitiness of various berries, paired with vanilla and honey scents... like a beautiful late summer evening. On the palate, however, it does not live up to its promise. It spreads lightly and softly without any aroma emerging. A minimal sweetness is noticeable... gradually it develops from tart berries to more spices, cask and long-cooked espresso... this is clearly too little in terms of aromas. The finish is reasonably good... a little sour cherry joins the spicy, woody aromas very late on. A solid blend, but nothing more."

"First read up on what the Spezi is all about: A blend of Fiji, Jamaica, Barbados, Puerto Rico and Trinidad. The whole thing was then matured for another 7 months in a cask from the 2006 Enmore REV Ed. 39. Gooseberry meringue pie, Calvados, baked apple and cream candy on the nose. Pleasantly soft on the palate at first, almost like a cognac, but then quite strong notes of allspice, sandalwood, mocha. Long finish, which I find not so pleasant...(astringent-salty). A successful experiment? Overall, I think so."
