Jour 24 du calendrier Samples de luxe. Splendide nez qui me plonge dans l’univers Caroni. Pas un Caroni dur et sans concessions, un Caroni complexe et fruité. Ouch ! La bouche est puissante, les arômes massifs s’arrondissent pourtant assez vite et s’entremêlent. Une fête du village avec des maisons de vieux bois au cheminées fumantes. Mille odeurs mêlant fruits trop mûrs et voitures qui ont cuit au soleil de l’après-midi. La finale révèle le potentiel de ce rhum avec d’autres expressions, puis d’autres encore. Infinie et parfaite. Un rhum d’exception, surtout pour sa finale, mais il réserve sans doute encore de bonnes surprises à l’oxydation. Le verre vide fait la part belle à un atelier mécanique tout proche.
30.05.2020 Had a nice afternoon with friends and friends of friends including some nice bottles of rum. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Heavy, wood, roasted, tar, rubber, light mint, fruits, cherry. Palate Heavy, oily, wood, roasted, faint smoke, dried fruit, leather, tar, rubber. Finish Long and warm, wood, roasted, tannins, leather, tar, dried fruit.
Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Wunderbar intensiver Caroni mit Drecknoten, Holz und Gewürzen. Sehr guter Vertreter des 2000er Jahrgangs.
Richtig himmlische Nase mit Röst- und Kakao-Noten. Am Gaumen sehr gut, aber einen Tick zu adstringierend für eine Top-Bewertung.
