Yikes, this one feels like a bit of a miss for me. While the distillation quality is undeniably solid, the taste falls short. It comes across as quite empty, although not to the extent you’d find in mass-produced white rums. It’s definitely a step above those, but still lacking the depth I was hoping for. There’s a faint sweet note, but beyond that, I had a hard time identifying any other concrete flavors. The nose is actually pretty pleasant, with a clean, bright sugarcane character, along with mineral, vegetal, and slightly fermented notes. While it’s clear that this is a well-crafted distillate, the flavor profile feels too thin and incomplete, making it hard to fully recommend despite the evident quality of the production.
Concise sugar cane aromas, earthy, paired with a certain alcoholic spiciness. Surprisingly intense for 46% by volume. I like it.
A little flatter than the single farm bottlings from Renegade.
This drinks like Rivers Antoine light and I really dig it. It’s got that briny funk, green apple brightness, and some nice spices that are pretty consistent from the nose to the finish. Could see this in a daiquiri but mostly this will sipped or in a ti punch.
