#4681 27.03.2024 Very nice tasting with Fabian with this surprisingly good rum. Price to quality is very good in my mind. Nose Round and sweet, fruity, light roasted wood. Palate Soft and sweet, light wood, faint roasted, light caramel. Finish Medium long and sweet, light wood, fruity, light caramel, faint chocolate. A very nice surprise and a very good every day rum.
Für 40€ UVP ein absolut stabiler 8y alter Foursquare mit erstaunlich gut integrierten 48% Alkohol. Macht sich wirklich gut in diversen Cocktails wie Royal Bermuda Yacht club und anderen Tiki Klassikern die nach Barbados Rum verlangen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Persönlich find ich da nur den Burke's seamaster von RA noch ein tick geiler mit dem extra bisschen Jamaica und den 50%.😋😁
Ich bin der erste, der diesen Rum hier bewertet und es liegt eine schwere Last auf meinen Schultern... Blind bei Stefan im Bottleshop Heilbronn gekauft, es ist auch eine exklusive Abfüllung für seinen Laden. Vorab: 8 Punkte vor allem durch den günstigen Kurs 8 Jahre gereifter Barbados Rum im Column und Pot Still Verfahren. Die Herkunft ist nicht bekannt, würde aber Richard vermuten. In der Nase kommt er fast wie ein bekannter Vertreter von der Insel daher, liegt sehr tief und dunkel im Glas, bildet beim Schwenken nur einen leichten Film, keine langen Nasen beim Herunterlaufen. Geschmacklich irgendwo zwischen Doorly's 12 und R. L. Seales (die schiefe Flasche), ist aber runder und kommt sehr angenehm mit seinen 48% daher - schrammt aber ganz knapp an zuviel nichtssagender Leichtigkeit vorbei. Entwickelt aber auch keinen Bums, ist allerdings auch nicht in Fassstärke. Bekannte Aromen mit Kokos, Karamell und vanilliger Schwere, dazu leichte Röstaromen und ein wenig Holz und ein leicht herber, dennoch süßer Abgang der schön anhält. Super PLV, natürlich kein ECS auf der Zunge, aber als Daily für die 40€ wirklich sehr gut, perfekt für gute Cocktails. Er wird sicher meinen geliebten Veritas als Easy-Drink-Along ablösen. Guter Stoff mit super PLV, für Einsteiger perfekt - die alten Hasen brauchen ihn für gute Cuba Libre & Co.
