8,7:On the nose, first of all, the rum is vegetal with grass, roasted, smoky with roasted nuts like hazelnuts and milk chocolate, fruity with tropical fruits as not ripe banana, green apple and some tobacco. On an aeration, flowers burst out, some tea, perhaps a touch of hay, there is dry wood, a bit spicy, molasses become thick and honeyed with pastry, cookie dough, brioche, vanilla as the sugar is burnt and fruits from bourbon ageing yellow and dried. We feel some spiciness also. After nice rest it fresh and minty, with some rosemary, the molasses turn darker with resin, licorice, peanut butter. Very balanced and tempting. 8,7:On the palate, the first attack is quite spicy with pepper, a bit salty and roasted with milk chocolate, perhaps nougat, hazelnuts, toffee, some cocoa and citrusy or perhaps tannic. The wood is dry, the fruits are yellow and tropical then with banana, green apple, pear, strawberry, mango, peaches. We come to tasty pastry, honey, turning to the malty, whisky notes. Later more vegetal notes arise, fresh with grass and flowery with some violet, earthy(musty). 8,6:The finish is long and dry with wood, yellow, dried fruits as dried figs, tasty chocolate, some vanilla and flowery, grassy. Becomes nutty and musty, a bit smoky. What is left, are some tannins... Edit:21.3.25-an upgrade 0,1 😋
The rum is round and flavorful with lots of "power on the flavors" - lovely Jamaican rum 💪🏻👏
