#4652 10.03.2024 Relaxing at bit at home while my wife is out with a friend. Nose Wood, roasted, spice, fruity, plum, light citrus. Palate Wood, roasted, citrus, tannins, balanced, fruity, plum, spicy/warm. Finish Long and warm, wood, roasted, fruity, citrus. Draws nice slow moving curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some berries, dried fruit and olive notes to it.
This 18-year-old is a great success: despite the years, the wood does not overpower the other aromas.... A touch of traditional rum, with sugar on the palate. Well-integrated alcohol, prunes, spices (cloves) and vanilla. For an 18-year-old at this price, I had a great time.
