How does this rum taste?
Barbieri Vecchio Rum Jamaica, distilled from molasses, presents a unique profile from Jamaica. It offers a floral and fruity aroma with hints of herbs, honey, and mirabelle plum, while the taste is dominated by notes of caramel, honey, and subtle spices with a touch of yellow fruits and woodiness. Users have noted both its nostalgic and rare qualities, but some described a hint of plastic, possibly akin to old Sherry casks. Un rhum de la série “Niki’s und Arturs Jamaiksnische Aventurien Teil 2”. Comme de la poussière au nez, avec du plastique, du Porto ou plutôt du Sherry. Peu d’esters. En bouche le côté désagréable du plastique réapparaît, avec toujours du Sherry, des fruits jaunes et un côté floral. Pas un mauvais rhum, mais le goût et l’odeur de vieux plastique me dérange.

An der Nase chemisch, kräutrige Noten wie bei Obstbränden. Im Geschmack dann leichter Honig, etwas Rauch, etwas Gummi. Gefällt mir aber gut. Leichter Stil der an verwässerte 86er Rockleys erinnert. Jamaica nicht zu erkennen. Hintenraus wird der Rum dann süß.
Nikis und Arturs Jamaikanische Aventurien Teil 2. Zu erst Mal wieder ein dickes Dankeschön für die Chance solche Raritäten im Glas zu haben. Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen, war Jamaikanischer Rum vor Jahrzehnten nicht der Rum, den man heutzutage aus Jamaika kennt, denoch sehr interessant diesen zu probieren. Diese sind nicht wirklich spitzenmäßig, aber denoch mehr als Trinkbar.
