It was distilled in 2001 from Sugar cane juice with a Pot and Column Still and then aged for 18 years. The rum has an ABV of 44%. This is a limited release and there are only 1440 bottles.

“Zunächst etwas schatf an der Nase, wird dann süßer. Am Gaumen eher mild, mit Kaffee, Kokos & Karamell Süße. Hintenraus eher holzig & scharf, insgesamt eher unrund. Nicht so ganz mein Fall, höchstens zusammen mit Kuchen o.ä.”

“Intensiv würzig. Angenehm süßlich im Geruch. Im Geschmack Honig, Peffrig mit früchten. Im Abgang trocken mit Holz und Lakritz. Sehr angenehm. Der beste des tasting abends. Vielleicht echt ein Geheimtipp.”

“Ein runder und süffiger Rum, der trotz seiner niedrigen Alkoholstärke ein vollmundig schokoladiges Trinkerlebnis bietet, allerdings nach dem Auftakt im Mund seine Fruchtigkeit verliert. Aufgrund der ein wenig eingestaubt und antik wirkenden Eiche kann ich mir gut vorstellen, dass hier auch alte Sherryfässer bei der Grundreifung verwendet wurden. Gerne würde ich diesen Rum in Fassstärke probieren!”
