The 1989 Trinidad Caroni Rum, selected by Isla del Ron, carries a rich history with its 27 years of aging. Alkohol ist nicht perfekt eingebunden. Untypischer Caroni.
Very lovely and sweet Caroni. Unfortunately, the alcohol is not well integrated.
Nose is rather flat… is this the one with sherry finish..?! 🤔Taste is dominating sweet… some wood… alcohol not perfectly integrated. I don’t get Caroni associations here tbh.
In the nose green apple, but not so tangy fresh but rather quince. A slight soapiness. Metallic. Slightly cookie dough. And vanilla with a hint of lemon balm. Strong attack on the palate, a wave of flavors you can't keep up with. And then it's all over again. Spicy sweet, licorice. Lovage remains. Balanced overall.
